Last month on Softorage - April 2026

Welcome! This is the first post in the series where I will share the updates at Softorage for the last month.

Here’s what happened in Apr-26:

Updated the Download button modal on software pages:

• Show icons for type of link in the Recommended section
• Improved responsiveness by optimizing the load on main thread

Add form on the sponsorhip page for easier enrollment

Updated the ‘ Suggest a software’ page with better UX

Start using Adsense in an attempt to achieve financial sustainability. Read more about it here.

Rolled out a dedicated page for all software, which lists the alternatives for that software.

Fix broken debounce for search on the search page

More optimizations:

• Load Adsense only after the page has rendered
• Delay rendering of elements (especially below the fold)

Minor:

• Add border for dropdowns for better demarcation on dark theme

Routine:

• Fix broken links
• Redundant category consolidation
