  • CPU-Z is also distributed in motherboard-vendor-customized editions (ASUS ROG, MSI Gaming, Gigabyte AORUS, ASRock, COOLER MASTER) that add branding but the same core detection engine.
  • In April 2026, CPUID’s website was briefly compromised and served malware in place of genuine CPU-Z/HWMonitor installers; always verify downloads come from cpuid.com or a link on this page. more info
