CPU-Z being a proprietary software, its source code is not publicly hosted.

CPU-Z is also distributed in motherboard-vendor-customized editions (ASUS ROG, MSI Gaming, Gigabyte AORUS, ASRock, COOLER MASTER) that add branding but the same core detection engine.
In April 2026, CPUID’s website was briefly compromised and served malware in place of genuine CPU-Z/HWMonitor installers; always verify downloads come from cpuid.com or a link on this page. more info
