G-Helper

Control performance modes, fan curves, GPU switching, and RGB lighting on Asus laptops while running as a single portable executable that requires no installation

It takes care to curate a safe software space. Help us do more.

&

+
Performance Modes Selection
Allows users to quickly toggle between three default operation presets (Silent, Balanced, and Turbo) that automatically adjust system power levels and fan behavior.
+
Dynamic GPU Switching
Lets users switch between Eco, Standard, Ultimate, and Optimized graphics modes on demand to balance processing performance and power consumption.
+
Refresh Rate Control
Adjusts the laptop screen refresh rate automatically based on the power source and offers overdrive controls to minimize display motion blur.
+
Custom Fan Editor
Enables users to define precise, temperature-based fan speed curves for both the CPU and GPU across different performance profiles.
+
Anime Matrix Control
Manages the rear lid LED panel to display animated GIFs, a digital clock, or real-time audio visualizers.
+
Keyboard Backlight Control
Customizes the colors and lighting animation modes of the keyboard backlight to match user preferences.
+
Custom Hotkey Remapping
Allows users to bind the dedicated media keys, ROG button, and keyboard shortcuts to custom system actions or applications.
+
Real-time System Monitoring
Displays live statistics on processor temperatures, fan speeds, and battery discharge rates directly within the system tray.
+
In-game Hardware Overlay
Renders a customizable on-screen display on top of games to track active frame rates, operating temperatures, and power draw.
+
Battery Charge Limiting
Constrains the maximum battery charge level to a user-defined percentage to extend the long-term health of the physical battery pack.
+
NVIDIA GPU Overclocking
Provides sliders to adjust core clock offsets, memory clock offsets, and power limits for compatible discrete graphics cards.
+
AMD CPU Undervolting
Lowers the operating voltage of compatible processors to improve thermal performance and sustain higher clocks.
+
XG Mobile Integration
Controls the connection status, activation locks, and cooling fan parameters of the external graphic card dock interface.
+
System Updates Check
Scans official manufacturer repositories to notify users about available system firmware (BIOS) and driver package updates.
+
Asus Peripheral Management (Mouse)
Controls the lighting patterns, performance profiles, and tracking DPI settings of connected manufacturer-branded gaming mice.
+
Mini-LED Multi-Zone Toggle
Switches the display panel backlight between high-contrast local dimming multi-zone mode and uniform single-zone mode.
+
Flicker-Free OLED Dimming
Controls the display panel brightness using hardware-level direct current modulation to prevent screen flicker at lower luminance settings.
+
Charger-Specific Profiles
Automatically applies discrete power profiles and fan behaviors when the laptop transitions between standard barrel chargers, USB-C power delivery chargers, and battery power.
+
Handheld Controller Customization
Adjusts controller input modes, modifies joystick deadzones, and maps rear paddles on compatible handheld gaming systems.
+
Portable Deployment
Operates as a single, lightweight executable without running background telemetry services or complex installation steps.
-
Lighting of Keys as a Group
Users cannot assign colors to keys individually. Software sets lighting for keyboards as units or zones. This prevents creators from making lighting layouts for keys.
-
Lack of Control for Peripherals
Control of hardware from Asus does not (as of now at least) extend to headsets, keyboards, motherboards, or coolers. Users cannot synchronize lighting across setups. Users must run programs from manufacturers to update firmware.
-
Absence of Profile Switching for Apps
Profiles do not switch when software launches. Users cannot configure profiles to load automatically when games run. Users must select modes by hand.
-
Dependence on Startup for Battery Charge Limits
Limits on battery charge only apply after the program runs in Windows. If charging occurs during shutdown or during boot, the battery can charge past the limit. This requires users to boot into Windows to prevent the battery from charging fully.

Notes

Because G-Helper replaces heavier ASUS software, the developer strongly recommends the following for the best performance:

  • Uninstall Armoury Crate: It is highly recommended not to run G-Helper alongside Armoury Crate services, as both programs will compete to control the same hardware settings. You can completely remove it using the official Armoury Crate Uninstall Tool.
  • Uninstall ASUS Smart Display Control: This app can conflict with G-Helper’s ability to smoothly manage your screen’s refresh rates.
  • Disable MyASUS Services (Optional): If you do not plan on using the MyASUS app, you can easily stop unnecessary background services by navigating to the Extra section within G-Helper and clicking Stop under the Asus Services section.
